India's star batter Rinku Singh is getting engaged to Samajwadi Party Politician Priya Saroj in a week's time. Earlier this year, in January, the two had their Roka Ceremony in the presence of their family members. As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign is over for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rinku has decided to concentrate on his personal life.

Rinku was recently busy as he was a part of KKR's side during the Indian Premier League 2025 season. While KKR didn't have a great season and bowed out of the group stage, Rinku showed sparks of brilliance in some of the games. However, he wasn't consistent enough to take his team to the playoffs.

Priya's father, Tufani Saroj, informed ANI regarding the relationship between Rinku Singh Priya Saroj two months ago. The sitting MLA from the Samajwadi Party, Tufani, said that the two of them had taken their parents' permission and will be getting married soon.

"Both children have expressed their desire to get married and have sought our permission for the same. The engagement has not taken place yet. Initial talks have taken place in this regard," Tufani Saroj had told ANI.

Rinku was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL 2025. The team couldn't qualify for the playoffs as they won just five out of 14 matches in the tournament. The defending champions didn't have a good tournament as they had expected.

Rinku Singh didn't have a memorable season this time as KKR didn't qualify for the playoffs. Individually, the player amassed 206 runs at an average of 29.42 and a strike-rate of 153.73 this season. Moreover, KKR’s performance was forgettable as well. They could only win five matches, while two games were washed out due to rain. Had these games been played, the scenarios might have been different.

Moreover, the batting line-up wasn't that great, and the bowlers couldn't soak up the pressure in most of the matches. Overall, KKR wouldn't want to repeat this kind of performance in the upcoming season. Even though the players showed some amount of intent and enthusiasm towards the end of the tournament, it wasn't sufficient for them to qualify.
