Rajat Partidar started his cricketing career with his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Madhya Pradesh in 2015, he also made his T20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in the Zonal T20 League in 2018. In the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, Rajat Patidar was the Leading Run scorer for Madhya Pradesh with 713 runs in 8 matches. In 2019, he was named in the India Blue’s squad for the Duleep Trophy.
International Career
Rajat Patidar made his One-Day International (ODI) debut for India on December 21, 2023, in a high-stakes series decider against South Africa. He showed promise right away, scoring a quick 22 runs off just 16 balls and displaying an aggressive intent at the crease. A few months later, in February 2024, Patidar was drafted into the Indian Test squad as a replacement for Virat Kohli during the home series against England. He made his Test debut in the second match of the series on February 2.
In that game, he contributed 32 runs in the first innings and 9 in the second. He was retained for the third Test but struggled to make an impact, scoring just 5 and 0 in his two innings.
