William Alexander Young, known as Will Young, is a 32-year-old New Zealand cricketer who generally plays as the top-order batsman. He is known for his defence and attack in the game, which can be seen in all three formats of the game. He was the captain of the New Zealand U-19 team during the 2012 ICC U-19 World Cup, and helped the team reach in semi-finals of the tournament. He debuted in the test team of New Zealand two years after his maiden call-up into the test team. He has been a dependable opener, where he can play proper cricketing strokes as well as charge at the bowler from the start. He has scored his first-ever century in an ICC tournament against Pakistan in just 117 balls in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Will Young has a very short career as of now, but has still shown his worth on the team. He got to play his first test match after two years where during which time incidents happened that made him get out of the game. He has an impressive play in domestic games and even captained the U-19 New Zealand team in the 2012 U-19 ICC World Cup, where Travis Head also played.
