ARCS Andheri was established in 2018 as one of the original franchises in the T20 Mumbai League, a city-based T20 competition organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). Representing the Andheri region of Mumbai. Over the years, ARCS Andheri has developed a reputation for nurturing young and upcoming players from the domestic Mumbai cricket circuit. They have consistently been a competitive side with strong performances, although a title win has eluded them so far.

ARCS Andheri in their first season were very poor, losing four out of the 5 games and finishing at the bottom of the table. In the following season, they finished in Group B behind SoBo Mumbai Falcons (previously SoBo SuperSonics), but lost in the semi-final. They will look to change their fortunes in the third edition of the league and qualify for the final and win the silverware as well.

Team Information

ARCS Andheri, famously known as the Sharks, is a franchise that has been part of the T20 Mumbai League since its inception in 2018. Owned by Dr. P.V. Shetty, Mr. Bhushan Patil, and Dr. Amee Dipen Parekh under the banner of Arcs Sports & Entertainment Private Limited. Under Head Coach Rajesh Pawar and captain Shivam Dube, they will be looking to get their hands on the silverware for the first time.

ARCS Andheri Jersey & Logo

The jersey has a gradient design blending yellow and light blue shades. The upper part (shoulders, chest, and sleeves) is predominantly yellow. The lower part (torso and pants) is primarily sky blue. The sleeves transition from yellow to blue. The front of the jersey has minimal text or sponsor logos, except for the team logo on the left chest, and the pants are entirely blue with a small logo on the left.

ARCS Andheri’s logo has a shield-like shape with the text ARCS Andheri written in white and purple font. It includes a cricket bat and ball graphic in white, crossed diagonally behind the text. The top portion of the logo features a stadium silhouette in white, symbolising the cricket ground. It uses a colour combination of purple, white, and grey.

ARCS Andheri Captain, Vice-Captain, Details

Shivam Dube is the Icon Player for the side, and he has been named as the captain of the side. The CSK all-rounder has been exceptional in recent years. He has been a destructive force for India and Chennai Super Kings in the last couple of years. The Southpaw is capable of clearing boundaries with ease and shifting the momentum of a game in a matter of overs.

Shivam Dube was a part of the T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad. However, he does not have much experience in captaincy. But the star all-rounder has lots of experience playing international and domestic cricket. He will surely find a way to his new role of leadership and will guide the team to the best position and win the championship as well.

ARCS Andheri History

ARCS Andheri is a prominent cricket team competing in Mumbai's premier T20 league, the T20 Mumbai League. It was formed in 2018 during the first edition of the competition. The team has been nicknamed "Sharks," reflecting their aggressive and strategic approach to the game. In the inaugural season, they finished at the bottom of the table. Losing four out of the five games.

But in the following season, they finished second in Group B, winning against NaMo Bandra Blasters, Shivaji Park Lions, North Mumbai Panthers, and Eagle Thane Strikers. But they were unfortunate to lose in the semi-final to North Mumbai Panthers. With the new season starting on June 4, they will start fresh and will look to compete for a place in the final and win the trophy as well.

ARCS Andheri Owner

The owners of ARCS Andheri are Dr. P. V. Shetty, Mr. Bhushan Patil, and Dr. Amee Dipen Parekh. Dr P.V. Shetty has been well-known for the development of cricket in the western suburbs. During his playing days, he captained Mithibai Junior College, and currently, he has been appointed to the list of the Jt. Hon. Secretaries of the Mumbai Cricket Association. Bhushan Patil holds a Graduate degree and is currently the MLA for the Indian National Congress in Mumbai.

Dr. Amee Dipen Parekh is a homoeopath in Kandivali West, Mumbai, with 17 years of experience in this profession. Dr. Amee Dipen Parekh works at Kiaan's Clinic in Kandivali West, Mumbai, and Kiaans Clinic in Kandivali, Mumbai. She earned a BHMS from Gulabrao Patil Homoeopathic Medical College in Miraj in 2005. All their experiences in the different fields will help the ARCS Andheri in the forthcoming season of the league.

ARCS Andheri Administration and Support Staff

The success of a cricket franchise like ARCS Andheri is built not just on the brilliance of its players but also on the dedication and expertise of its administrative and support staff. If they need to become the champion of the T20 Mumbai League the contributions from the support staff needs to be immense for the players.

Head Coach

Rajesh Power is a well-known figure in the Mumbai domestic circuit. In 1996, he was regarded as India's next greatest left-arm spin prospect. He went on to lead the Mumbai Under-19 team and was a member of the Indian U-19 squad at the 1998 Junior World Cup, which included Mohammad Kaif and Harbhajan Singh.

He was the standout of the 1999-2000 domestic season, taking 44 first-class wickets and coming close to national selection. However, he struggled to hold his place in a strong Mumbai squad. He retired after featuring in 84 first-class games in 2013. He then shifted his focus to coaching at an early age. With turning 45 last year, he has been into coaching and has been named as the head coach of the ARCS Andheri team.

Mentor

Paras Mhambrey will be the mentor for the team. He has officially been announced on the social media handle of the franchise. With his wealth of experience as a former Indian cricketer and a reputed coach, Mhambrey plays a pivotal role in guiding the team’s strategy and nurturing young talent.

Batting Coach

The batting coach, however, has not been announced by ARCS Andheri. They will surely announce this department before the start of the competition.

Bowling Coach

The bowling coach, however, has not been disclosed by the ARCS Andheri management. With Rajesh Pawar and Paras Mhambrey both there with their experience in bowling, they might guide the young talents.

Fielding Coach

There has been no official announcement about the fielding coach of the side. The assistant coach, Anant Tewari, has been seen often doing the fielding drills.
