Andorra 0–1 England Player Ratings: Harry Kane's Goal Gives the Three Lions Crucial Three Points in World Cup Qualifiers

England add another three points as they register a rather tepid 1-0 win over Andorra here at the Espanyol stadium in Barcelona. The Three Lions dominated proceedings from the start, but the Andorra defense, led by their goalkeeper, were in inspired form as they parried every threat and danger that England threw their way in the first 45 minutes.
Just when it seemed like Andorra were looking like settling into a rhythm of frustrating their opponents, England opened the scoring. Harry Kane's shot was well-saved by the keeper, but the rebound found its way to Madueke, who put in an accurate ball in the box for Kane to latch onto and bury the finish from close range.
From there, it was a case of England holding on well as Andorra did not offer much of a threat going forward, and eventually the final whistle brought an end to proceedings. England got the three points, but the manner of performance might raise some questions in the grander scheme of things.
Here are the Andorra National Football Team vs England National Football Team Player Ratings.
Andorra National Football Team Player Ratings vs England

GK- Iker Álvarez- 7.5/10
He was the best player on the pitch for his side. Made a string of crucial saves as his side held on desperately. Saved extremely well in the build-up to the opening goal, but was hapless in stopping the rebound from going in.
RWB- Biel Borra Font- 5.5/10
Covered the right flank with a diligent performance throughout. Had a good, strong battle with Cole Palmer and more or less managed to subdue him for vast stretches of the game.
RCB- Max Llovera- 5.5/10
Was a dependable defensive force in the heart of the defense. Blocked, tackled, and cleared pretty much every England attack. He was also an able opponent against Harry Kane in the physical exchanges.
CB- Marc García- 5/10
Had a decent game overall. He was effective in the ground game as he had 6 clearances overall. Kept danger at bay on occasion
LCB- Ian Bryan Olivera- 4.5/10
An underwhelming game as he was second best against Noni Madueke. Found his pace and strength hard to deal with on numerous occasions throughout the game.
LWB- Moises San Nicolas- 4/10
The Andorran captain was given a thorough rinsing by Morgan Rogers. The veteran could not get the better of the Villa youngster, despite resorting to overly physical tactics as well. An evening to forget for the veteran.
RM- Aron Rodrigo- 5/10
A decent pass completion rate by the wide receiver. He was a decent body on defense as well, which was evident by his ground duels won. Was substituted just past the hour mark.
RCM- Pau Babot - 5/10
He was easily bypassed in midfield by the likes of Jordan Henderson, which is never a good sign. Could not provide much of an attacking output either.
LCM- Joel Guillén- 5/10
He was slightly better than his midfield partner, but only just. Had a better clearance and interception ratio, but was woefully wasteful in possession as he failed to find an outball on multiple instances
LM- Joan Cervós-5/10
Tried to be creative in attack for his side. A couple of crosses and a couple of long balls did keep the English defense honest, but nothing much to cause a major worry about.
ST- Ricard Fernandez- 5.5/10
The nature of the contest meant that the striker would more often than not be feeding on scraps. However, that did not deter him from running himself to the ground and putting in an absolute shift. Ran the channels well and had a pretty good tussle against Dan Burn.
Sub- Marc Garcia- 5/10
Brought on for an impact. Could not do much
Sub- Guillaume Lopez- 5/10
Had the only notable effort for his side. Not much after.
Sub- Marc Vales- N/A
A late sub. Did not have much time to make an impact.
Sub- Jesus Rubio- N/A
A late sub. Did not have much time to make an impact.
Sub- Eric Iziquierdo- N/A
A late sub. Did not have much time to make an impact.
Manager- Koldo- 5/10
Did well for most of the match, given they only lost by one goal. Good resolute defense, but a lack of attack did not help them.

England National Football Team Player Ratings vs Andorra

GK- Jordan Pickford- 5/10
As effortless a day as they come for the Everton man. Could have read a book, had a glass of tea, or anything really. Did not have a save to make in the contest, but did gather the long balls and crosses that came his way.
RB- Curtis Jones- 6/10
For a midfield player playing at full-back, this was a pretty accomplished performance by the Liverpool man. Went forward on occasion and defended with equal gusto. A good outing overall.
RCB- Ezri Konsa- 6/10
The Aston Villa defender did not have an awful lot to do in this game, just like the majority of the England backline. But did his defensive duties as and when called upon. Crucial block in the second half to deny Lopez a clear sight of the goal.
LCB- Dan Burn- 6/10
He was probably the busiest of the England defenders from a defensive point of view. Enjoyed a feisty and physical battle with Fernandez and got the better of him for a fair while overall.
LB- Reece James- 5.5/10
The Chelsea skipper acquitted himself well on the left flank for his country. Delivered some good crosses and also tracked back well to snuff out any danger.

CDM- Jude Bellingham- 6/10
He was a busy performer from England's squad. Pulled the strings from deep and put in some dangerous crosses in the box. Also had a couple of shots that were saved by the Andorran keeper.
CDM- Jordan Henderson- 6/10
The veteran was disciplined and used all his experience to play. Shielded the ball well, and also used his physicality to good effect to snuff out any threat from his Andorran counterparts.
RW- Noni Madueke- 7/10
The most lively attacker for England on the evening. Things tended to happen on every occasion he received the ball. Made the assist for the England goal in the 50th minute by a good cutback in the danger area. England's man of the match by a fair distance.
CAM- Cole Palmer- 5.5/10
Flittered in and out of the game. Was involved in bits and spurts, only to find himself out of the game in equal measure. Was substituted near the hour mark
LW- Morgan Rogers- 6.5/10
A lively performance by the Villa youngster. A brilliant bit of skill in the first half was the highlight of his evening as he left two Andorra defenders in his wake. He was unlucky to add an assist to his name.
ST- Harry Kane- 6.5/10
Scored the only goal of the game with a poacher's finish that we have come to see time and again. He was not much of an influence in the game overall, as he tends to be.

Sub- Eberechi Eze- 5/10
Brought on after the hour mark. Had a great header that was well saved by the keeper
Sub- Trent Alexander-Arnold- 5/10
Sprayed the ball around well. Did not have much to do otherwise
Sub- Anthony Gordon- N/A
A late sub. Did not have much time to make an impact.
Sub- Declan Rice- N/A
A late sub. Did not have much time to make an impact.
Sub- Morgan Gibbs-White- N/A
A late sub. Did not have much time to make an impact.
Manager- Thomas Tuchel- 6/10
While the German will be happy with the win, this is a match that will not linger long in memory. His side laboured against stubborn opponents, and he will have to do better to get much more out of his charges in the games to come.
Sportsdunia Player of the Match goes to Iker Alvarez.
