In 2018, MortaL began leading Team SouL, which consisted of four players, including MortaL, Yash Soni, Harpreet Singh, Mohammed Owaisi Lakhani, and Vivek Horo. Initially, the team won many esports matches together, but soon their performances began to decline. In fact, all the group members began blaming each other for their poor performance. Later in 2019, Lakhani and Harpreet departed from the team and joined Orange Rock, after which Parv Singh and Vivek Horo joined the team. In 2019, Mortal led Team SouL to win the PUBG Mobile India Series and the PUBG Mobile Club Open India Regionals.
After the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, Mathur continued his esports career in BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) and, in 2022, emerged victorious in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series Season 1, further solidifying his status as a skilled esports player.
