Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) and scored 217 runs while chasing in IPL 2023. The result of the match was decided out on the last ball. Rajasthan gave a target of 215 runs, which Hyderabad achieved by losing 6 wickets. Hyderabad needed 17 runs to win in the last over, but Sandeep Sharma could not defend it. In IPL 2020, Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by 4 wickets and chased down a historic target. Rajasthan got this victory on the basis of brilliant innings of Sanju Samson (85), Steve Smith (50) and Rahul Tewatia (50). Earlier, the Punjab team gave RR a huge target of 224 runs in 20 overs to Rajasthan with the help of Mayank Agarwal's 106 and KL Rahul's 69 runs. Rajasthan Royals scored 226-6 runs in 19.3 overs to chase the target of 224 runs of Punjab Kings and registered the second-highest run chase in IPL history.
3. Royal Challengers Bengaluru | 230/4

On May 27, 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) chased a massive 228 runs against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow during the IPL 2025. LSG batted first and scored 227, led by their captain Rishabh Pant’s brilliant 118 runs. RCB’s chase began strongly with Virat Kohli’s quick fifty, but they struggled at 123/4. Jitesh Sharma then smashed 85 runs off 33 balls with big shots, and with Mayank Agarwal’s support, RCB won by 6 wickets in 18.4 overs, marking their biggest IPL chase ever and securing a spot in Qualifier 1.

In the match against Punjab Kings, SRH registered one of the historic chases in the history of the indian Premier League at their home ground, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. After losing back-to-back 4 games, SRH lost the toss and was invited to bowl first. PBKS, while batting first, scored a massive 246 runs. Shreyas Iyer Punjab Kings captain, led the team from the front and scored 82 runs in just 36 balls. The way he was batting was so pleasing for the cricket fans, however, he got out on 82 runs. While chasing a massive total of 246 runs, SRH's opening batters came all guns blazing. Abhishek Sharma scored a brilliant century, and his opening partner, Travis Head, also scored a half-century. They had an opening partnership of 171 runs in just 12.2 overs, which made the match one-sided in favour of SRH, and in the end, SRH won the match by 8 wickets in just 18.3 overs.
